The 161 Birthday Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda was celebrated at Ramakrishna Math, Dhaka with due solemnity and spiritual fervour for two(02) days on 13 and 14 January 2023 respectively. Discussion meeting on the topic ‘Swami Vivekananda and the New world’ held on 13 January 2023 evening under the presidency of Srimat Swami Purnatmanandaji Maharaj, Adhyaksha and Secretary of Dhaka Centre, where the invited guests Dr. Kazi Nurul Islam Professor and Founding Chair, Department of World Religions and Culture and Prefessor and Former Chairman, Department of Philosophy, University of Dhaka and Professor Dr. Mihir Lal Saha, Department of Botany, Dhaka University were present. In the Meeting, Swami Shantikarananda, an Assistant Secretary of the Centre offered the Welcome Address and Swami Haripremananda, the other Assistant Secretary offered the Vote of thanks. The presence of audience in the meeting was large in number.
On the following day, 14 January 2023, Ceremony started with Mangalarati in the early
morning, and Program on that day was featured with Special Puja, Vedic Chanting, Stotra,
Bhajan, etc,. Homa (Fire sacrifice) was held at 10:30 P.M.. and devotees offered the Pushpanjali at 12:15 p.m.. Later, noon-prasad was distributed among the devotees at 12:30p.m.
Total 1200 devotees took Kichudi prasad in two(02) days.
