It is our great pleasure to inform you that on the occasion of the 125 th Anniversary of Ramakrishna Mission, the newly built Auditorium Building fully funded by Sri Subal Chandra Saha, Vice-President, Managing Committee, Ramakrishna Mission, Dhaka, has been ceremonially inaugurated at Ramakrishna Mission, Dhaka on 19 January 2023.
The Auditorium building was inaugurated by the Head of Dhaka centre on that day afternoon in the presence of a large number of devotees, guests and well-wishers. It was followed by a discussion meeting in the Auditorium(Swami Aksharananda Milanayatan). Adhyaksha and Secretary of Dhaka centre was present there as the chief guest and Srimat Swami Jyotirmayanandaji Maharaj, Adhyaksha and Secretary, Matri Mandir and Ramakrishna Mission Sarada Sevashrama, Jayrambati, West Bengal, India and Srimat Swami Jnanalokanandaji Maharaj, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Swami Vivekananda’s Ancestral House and Cultural Centre and member of the Board of Trustees, Ramakrishna Math, Belur Math, West Bengal, India and member of the Governing Body, Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math, attended the meeting as the special guest. Srimat Swami Shaktinathanandaji Maharaj, Head of Chittagong center and Sri Subal Chandra Saha, the donor of the Auditorium building and one of the vice-presidents of the Managing committee of Ramakrishna Mission, Dhaka, were the Guests of Honour in the meeting. Justice Mr. Soumendra Sarker, Supreme Court, Bangladesh and the president of the Managing committee of Ramakrishna Mission, Dhaka presided over the discussion. At the outset of the meeting, Swami Shantikarananda, Assistant secretary of Ramakrishna mission, Dhaka, delivered the welcome address and Swami Haripremananda, other Assistant Secretary of the Center offered the vote of thanks to conclude the session. During that time, the whole gallery of the Auditorium was full of devotees, guests and monks and no seat was vacant. After that, a cultural program comprising devotional songs and dances by the eminent male-artists of India and Bangladesh took place.
We invited all monks and brahmacharins of different centers (Affiliated and non-affiliated) in Bangladesh to celebrate this festive moment, and out of them total seventy (70) monks and brahmacharins attended the Program. A ‘Sadhu Bhandara’ was held on that occasion and all of them were served with the fullest joy of our heart.
Total 1200 devotees and guests were served with cooked food on that day.
