The Celebration of 162th Birthday of Swami Vivekananda at Ramakrishna Math, Dhaka

The 162th Birthday of Swami Vivekananda has been celebrated at Ramakrishna Math, Dhaka with due solemnity and spiritual fervour on 2nd February 2024. First session of the day began with Mangal Aratri at the early morning, which was followed by Special Puja, Homa, Vedic chanting, devotional songs, Pushpanjali, reading from the books of Swami Vivekananda and special talks where Dr. Samantalal Sen, Honourable Health Minister of Bangladesh spoke as the chief guest and Revered Srimat Swami Purnatmanandaji Maharaj, Head of Dhaka centre bestow the words of benediction.

Second session of the Program included discussion on the subject `Swami Vivekananda and
Today’s Society’ which was started after the evening prayer. Professor Robaet Ferdous, Dept. of Mass Communication and Journalism, University of Dhaka and Professor Parimol Bala,
Department of Physics, Jagannath University, Dhaka, discussed over the topic and Revered
Srimat Swami Purnatmanandaji Maharaj gave his words of benediction. The welcome address
was given by Swami Shantikarananda, Assistant Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission, Dhaka and
Swami Haripremananda, Assistant Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission, Dhaka offered the vote of
thanks.

Total 2,800 devotees took cooked prasad on the occasion.
