Ramakrishna Math, Dhaka celebrated the 160th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda on 25 January 2022 at its premises. First session of the Program began with Vedic chanting followed by special Puja, reading from the scriptures, performance of devotional songs, Homa, Pushpanjali and distribution of cooked foods among the devotees.
Second session of the Program comprised discussion meeting on Swamiji on the topic titled `Swami Vivekananda in the context of present age’. Justice Mr. Soumendra Sarker, Bangladesh Supreme Court, presided over the meeting and Professor Dr. Arun Goswami, Dean, faculty of Social Science and Chairman, Department of Political Science; and Director, South Asian Study Circle, Jagannath University, Dhaka, took part at the discussion. Revered Swami Purnatmananda Maharaj, Adhyaksha and Secretary of the Centre showered his benedictory address at the meeting. At the outset of the discussion, welcome address was given by Swami Haripremananda, Assistant Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission, Dhaka. Finally to conclude the session, vote of thanks was offered by Swami Shantikarananda, Assistant Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission, Dhaka.
Both the sessions ended peacefully.
